Reliance Energy Limited

Reliance Energy Limited bid for the Ultra Mega Power Plant (UMPP) of 4,000 MW at Tilaiya, Jharkhand. BARSYL was assigned the task of carrying our Pre Bid studies for the Rail Connectivity part to assist REL to bid for the project. BARSYL carried out a preliminary engineering study including alignment options and estimated cost of the Railway Infrastructure. REL used this information to bid for the project and were successful in bagging the contract for the UMPP.

Chennai Metro

BARSYL has bagged the role of General Consultant for the Chennai Metro along with Egis Rail, Maunsell AECOM & YEC. BARSYL is a consortium partner for the General Consultants team for Chennai Metro Phase I. This project consists of 2 corridors spanning a total of 45 km with about 27 km underground and the remaining elevated. The total finishing cost for the project is estimated at Rs.14,600 Crore and the project is envisaged to be commissioned by 2014. BARSYL has its experts in place for Rail Systems like Track, Third Rail Electrification, Power Distribution, Signalling, Telecommunication, System Integration and support personnel for HVAC and other auxiliary systems apart from the supervision and design review teams.

KRIBHCO

BARSYL has been awarded Consultancy services by Krishak Bharathi Cooperative Limited (KRIBHCO) for its proposed ICD in Hazira, Gujarat. KRIBHCO is setting up an Inland Container Depot in Hazira within its Fertilizer Complex manufacturing Urea. This ICD is being designed to handle about 1 Lakh TEUs of container traffic. BARSYL is preparing the Feasibility Report for the Railway Facilities for this ICD.
